In Year 8 we have focused on the everyday reality of some of our young people. Learning can be a struggle. Understanding new content can be daunting and although willing, some may be nervous to seek assistance for fear of being ridiculed by their peers. For some of our students learning is hard and regardless of their work ethic, their achievements may not reflect the commitment and effort they give.

Year 8 students have been reminded over this period that for some, 'normal' life is not any easier and it is important to support those around us and ask for assistance when we  need it.

The following girls have been awarded 'Kindness Hearts' as part of our Kindness Initiative at Year 8. The empathy, care and understanding they have shown to others is to be commended. Congratulations girls!

Madison Hong

Josephine Friend

Both girls have offered help, support and useful links to the class to help them with their current learning tasks. Well done girls amazing effort! Ms Jacca

Lola Martin

She always offers help to the homeroom – individually when at school and then remotely offered to help girls access our document for Health and then said that they could contact her after class for help. Lola is always going above and beyond to care for and look after the homeroom. Well done Lola!

Ms Wright

Hannah Kovac

She always offers assistance, quietly stepping up and helping out without being asked. A wonderful addition to the 8.47 homeroom.
