Visual Art Update

In Visual Art this week we have been examining the very distinctive portrait style of Pablo Picasso. Students were challenged to have a go at drawing a friend without looking at the paper to experience the importance of using our eyes to draw what we see rather than what we THINK we see…there may have been some peeking here and there!
Have a look at this VERY CONVINCING LIKENESS of Mrs. Tulloch by Zac of Foundation KH. All students from grade F-6 really enjoyed this experience.
Next Tuesday, the grades five and six students will go on an excursion to The National Gallery of Victoria, ACMI and maybe even a quick detour into Hozier Lane, with it’s amazing street art, so prepare to see some inspired portraits to close out Term One.
