Administration

News from the Office Ladies!

Hello from the Administration team!

As we near the end of Term 1, please see below a few suggestions to keep in mind to ensure a smooth start to Term 2.

Important Information

Can parents please check your child/ren’s school bags prior to leaving for school to ensure that they have their iPad/MacBook, water bottle, hat (Term 1 and 4), lunchbox, and a spare change of clothes (for Prep students).

In the event of a swimming program or sporting event, could you please ensure that the appropriate clothing and equipment is with your child.

Please note that it is preferable not to call the classrooms to collect items such as lunches, hats, and bags as it is disruptive to the child/ren’s learning.

Lunches

In the event that your child/ren does not have their lunch, it is discouraged to order food via UberEats or similar delivery services. Please note that the School has a canteen which you can order recess/lunch via Quickcliq.

Early pickups

To ensure smooth early pickups, can you please inform the teacher and the office in advance as it is incredibly difficult to locate your child/ren during recess and lunch time.  This will also ensure that there is minimal disruption to classrooms.

Late pickups

If for some unforeseeable circumstances, you are running late to collect your child/ren could you please call the office or contact your child/ren’s teacher to advise. Please note that teachers will stay in the classroom with your child/ren until 2:50pm.  If the child/ren have not been collected, they are brought up to the office for pickup.  Please note that the school has a duty of care until 3:30pm.  If your child/ren have not been collected after this time it is a requirement of the school to contact the Department of Education and Training.

Lost Property

All lost property is located in the lost property cupboard at the back of the office, near the IT Department. Can you please ensure that items that do not belong to your child/ren are NOT removed from the lost property cupboard. It is highly recommended that all student uniform items be labelled with their names. The lost property cupboard is checked weekly and all uniforms that are labelled will be returned to your child/ren’s classroom.

Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund (CSEF)

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The annual CSEF amount per student is:

  • $125 for primary school students
  • $225 for secondary school students

How To Apply

New applicants should contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form.  Once completed please return this to the office with a copy of your Healthcare Card.

If you applied for CSEF last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:

  • new student enrolments; your child has started or changed schools this year.
  • changed family circumstances; such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year.

Thanking you in advance for your understanding on a smooth transition to Term 2.
