St Cecilia's School Prayer

A few weeks ago the Year 6 leaders began the task of creating an official school prayer for St Cecilia’s.  They discussed what elements they felt were important in a school prayer and looked at numerous examples.  They worked extremely well together and were very respectful of each other’s ideas and views.  The prayer below is a product of their hard work.  The art work accompanying the prayer is by Tami in Foundation F.  You will see the prayer displayed in different parts of the school and students will be learning it in their classrooms with their teachers.

Baptism (Christening)

Are there any families who want to have a child baptised? It might be a child at school, or it might be ayounger child. Through baptism, we become a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the CatholicChurch. 

Baptism is required for a child to receive First Reconciliation in Year 3, First Communion in Year 4,and Confirmation in Years 5 or 6.
