Harmony Day

WHY WE LOVE HARMONY DAY (March 21)

It celebrates diversity. With its motto ‘Everyone belongs’, Harmony day reminds us to appreciate everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.

At CEPS, on March 21, we will celebrate by wearing something orange on the day and participating in age appropriate activites celebrating diversity. Harmony Day is all about loving and understanding different cultures and ways of life, and seeing how they can fit together. We look forward to the sea of orange on March 21.

Congratulations Ryutaro and Taishiro

Ryutaro won two gold medals in the Karate State Championship last weekend. He became a state champion in both male 10 and 11 year old choreographed movement division and male 10 and 11 years old under 45 kg sparing division.

His brother, Taishiro in Grade 3, also won two silver medals in his divisions in the same Karate State Championship. They are both selected to represent Victoria in the State Squad Team, and compete in the national championship in Perth this August.

Congratulations to both Ryutaro and Taishiro, keep aiming high!

Interschool Sports

Our Tee Ball students headed off to LePage Primary School on Friday to compete in the Interschool Sports. It was a fantastic game played in great spirits. Unfortunately we didn't get the win, but everyone should be very proud of their efforts.

Nude Food

It’s been a busy start to the term, but Nude Food is officially back next week. The Green Team will record results next Tuesday and Thursday.

There is a lot of rubbish in the bins so we need to reduce the amount of waste around the school. Please try to put your food in containers or bring a bento style lunchbox.

The golden lunchbox will be awarded to the winning class at the last assembly this term.

The Resilince Project

Hugh and The Resilience Project Team are so looking forward to your Parent & Community presentation (with other schools) on Tuesday 21st March from 6:30pm - 7:30pm (60 minutes) AEDT.

What you can expect.

Through emotionally engaging stories and practical strategies, this session will help parents and carers understand the benefits of letting go of shame, perfection, ego and control. It will combine powerful research with candid storytelling, along with a few laughs to help support what is arguably the toughest job in the world... being a parent or carer!

When building positive mental health in schools, we know the best impact happens when we work together.

The ‘Authentic Connection’ presentation helps do just that by sharing those same evidence-based strategies being taught in the classroom, so they can be also practised at home and beyond. Attendees will also be reminded of the importance of their own wellbeing - we bring the best versions of ourselves to our family and community, when we make time to look after ourselves.
