The Principal's Pen
Term 2 is generally a very full term and we certainly saw a wide range of experiences come to life this time around. The whole school initiatives that our leadership team have been working on have been incredibly successful and added extra opportunities to the College community. The whole school picnic in the middle of the term saw everyone eating together in the College gym and competing in multi age activities. It was a natural place for leadership to emerge as groups worked out their own dynamics, with Primary students taking on the role in some groups. And the final day of term saw a great outworking of the College's community focus when two of our Secondary leaders led the whole school in our Pink Day, shaving heads, donating hair for wigs and raising money for the Leukemia Foundation. It was a colourful way to end the term that highlighted the importance of looking out for others.
The College activities don't stop for some of our students, though. A group of Year 10 students leave for a trip to Canberra on Monday, where they will visit key locations and institutions as well as having a day on the ski slopes. We pray for their safety and enjoyment on this exciting opportunity.
I thank everyone for their involvement in making this term so successful and I look forward to seeing everyone back again next term.
