Literacy

Last week we continued working on our story writing, using picture prompts to construct a beginning that introduces a character, a middle that poses a problem and an ending that finds a solution. We have been adding adjectives and adverbs to describe what is happening.

This week we have been focusing on using conjunctions to join our ideas together

(for example - then, so, and, because) . 

We have been reading and hearing about all the important events that happened during Holy Week and have used conjunctions to link our ideas about each of the key events.

Maths

This week we have been looking at patterns.

Some patterns are repeating patterns, while others are growing.

We looked at patterns to work out what is repeating or growing, and continued those patterns. We also created our own patterns to see if other people could work out what the pattern was, and if they could follow it. 

Ed in Faith

Last week the students in 12T did an amazing job performing at our whole school assembly.  They had practised hard and confidently shared their writing about where they see and feel God's presence. They also did an amazing job singing and dancing to the song 'God is Everywhere!'. 

We are also practising and looking forward to our special whole school Easter Holy Week prayer service that will be held next Wednesday afternoon at 2.40 in the Red Centre.
