3/4 SV

Maths

During Maths last week, we looked at the symmetry of 2D shapes. We used an online program where students can choose shapes and draw their lines of symmetry.

RE

Last week our Reconciliation candidates participated in a Workshop morning.  They participated in three separate workshops to prepare them for their Reconciliation.  Miss Marion focused on a true life story of forgiveness, Miss Vanessa facilitated role plays of the student and the Priest to prepare for their Confession and Mr Brendan focused on the Examination of Conscience, so students could think about their wrongdoings.  Congratulations to all of the Reconciliation Candidates who received their Sacrament on Tuesday night.

Walk for Epilepsy- Purple Day

Last Friday we all participated in a Walk for Epilepsy to raise awareness and understanding.

Literacy

This week in literacy we are continuing with writing Sizzling Starts. Last week we looked at adverbs and adjectives to improve our sentences and this week we’re applying our learning to create beginnings that sizzle! Our focus topic is 'My Teacher is a Monster!'

District Athletics

Tomorrow our Year 4 students will get the opportunity to participate in their first Bayside District Track Athletics event at Ballam Park. Students have been selected to participate in a variety of events including: hurdles, 800m, 200m, 4 x 100 relays, 70m and 100m sprints. If you haven’t already please fill out the permission note via Operoo today! All required details can be found on the permission note. Parents are most welcome to attend the event and cheer on our school!

Next week on Tuesday 4th April, Year 4 students will trial for the Bayside District Field Athletics which will be held in early term 2. This is also a PE day so students will wear their PE uniforms as normal.
