Viotti Strings have been working hard to learn some Irish tunes for Harmony Day. Here’s a sneak preview.

 

Staff Performances

13 year old Violinist Ein Na who has just recently won another National Violin competition will be performing the Prokofiev Violin Concerto with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra at the Brisbane City Hall on Sunday March 19 at 3:00pm. Our Cello specialist tutor, Lynne Backstrom plays in this orchestra and highly recommends this concert to all students and their families. We are excited to promote a few upcoming performances that feature our vocal teacher, soprano, Leanne Kenneally.

 

Saturday 25 March, 2023, 7:30pm, St. Andrew’s Uniting Church, featuring a reimagined performance of Schumann’s beloved song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben.

 

Saturday 1 April 2023, 4:00pm, Kelvin Grove State College Hall, Kelvin Grove

Private instrumental and vocal tuition billing

As we draw closer to the end of term, this is a timely reminder for parents to notify the Music Department if your child is withdrawing from Private Tuition. Late cancellation of lessons will result in a 2-week cancellation fee. Please send an email to music@clayfield.qld.edu.au by the end of this week.

 

At the end of term, Instrumental Tutors will advise their students if there are any lessons owing due to explained absences. These lessons will be credited on the next term’s fee statement.
