Principal's Message

"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed no hope at all."

Dale Carnegie

We would like to take a moment to update you on some of the exciting events and achievements that have taken place at Brigidine College recently.

Our Conference 1 Swimming Carnival was a huge success, with our girls putting in an exceptional effort and bringing home the Senior Championship Trophy. We are incredibly proud of all our girls for their hard work and dedication, and we hope that they will continue to excel in their future sporting endeavours.

In addition to our swimming success, we have also had some fantastic achievements in other areas. Our Public Speaking Competition has been in full swing for the past two weeks, with eight girls being selected to represent our College. We are delighted to announce that Klara James from Year 8 will be representing us in the Grand Finals. Congratulations to all the girls who participated, and a big thank you to the teachers who have supported and coached them through this journey.

We also recently hosted our Indigenous Breakfast, which was a wonderful opportunity for our College Indigenous community to come together and celebrate Indigenous culture and traditions. Additionally, Pinocchio's Takeover was a great success, and we were thrilled to see our Year 12 Hospitality students eagerly participating in this unique opportunity to enhance their culinary skills and learn about 'front-of-house' restaurant protocols under the guidance of the chefs at The Juniors Kingsford.

Furthermore, we recently held the Sydney Catholic Schools Beginning Teachers Mass at St Mary's Cathedral, which was a lovely occasion to officially welcome our beginning staff members to the broader Sydney Catholic Schools community.

Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to everyone who helped make our Celebration of International Women's Day such a success. The day concluded with the "Carnival of Illumination" Trivia Night, which was a lot of fun for parents, friends and staff of the College.

It has been an exciting and eventful time at Brigidine College, and we couldn't have achieved all of this without your support. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.

God bless,

Mrs Sharyn Quirk

Principal
