Rubicon Camp

As I type, a very happy and tired group of transition students and staff have just arrived back from camp at Rubicon. First responses from everyone indicated that they had a great time with exciting and enjoyable activities. I'm sure there will be some great photos to share in our next newsletter.  The school has purchased a new covered trailer through the Active Schools Grant and this proved very useful on its first camp to transport luggage. It is also suitable for transporting bikes and we look forward to planning some community riding activities in the future for our students.

Swimming Program

It has been great to see our swimming program start again this term. Our students have settled into the routine of going to the pool and enjoying their sessions.

Given the disruptions to the swimming program and late start this year, we have been supporting students by providing  bathers and towel if students forget.

From next term, we will no longer be providing bathers due to hygiene reasons so it is important for parents and carers to ensure that you send in what your child needs for swimming.

On their swimming day students need to bring:

Named bathers that fit and are in good condition

2 named towels (one for drying and one to sit on)

Named swim bag

Goggles if needed

Swim cap if needed

We also ask families to provide ear plugs and swim nappies (pool continence aides) if needed.

Please name all items so we can make sure your child's belongings come home.
