Year 10 Visual Arts: Figurative Cubist Paintings
The Year 10 Visual Arts class have completed a painting unit focusing on Cubism and the human figure. The students investigated the work of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque before completing some observational drawings. These preliminary drawings were then developed into final compositions using synthetic polymer paint on canvas.

8C Painting in Action
Year 9 Dry Point Etchings
Students selected a nursery rhyme. Highlighting a line or phrase from the nursery rhyme they considered the imagery and emotions evoked to create their own illustration. Applying hatching and cross-hatching to develop tone students incised their design into the acetate plate. The plate was then inked and printed using an etching press.
