Trivia Night
Save the date for a fun evening of Trivia, Prizes, Silent Auction and GEC community connection. Tickets on sale in Term 3.
Date: Saturday 9 September 2023
Time: 7pm for 7.30pm start, 10.30pm finish
Where: Murrumbeena Park Community Hub Function Room, 28 Gerald Street, Murrumbeena
Theme: Around the World – you’re welcome to wear a touch of Around the World adornment or intrigue.
Cost: Tickets $35 per person, $350 per table of 10. Bookings open in July.
Drinks: BYO
Food: tbc - watch this space
Tables: Up to 10 people; attendees will have the opportunity to organise a part or full table, or to join one with others.
This major fundraiser and social event for 2023 is being organised by GECPA.
All funds raised will support our Glen Eira College students through improvement projects at GEC.
Call Out for Volunteers
We are looking for some help in the lead up to the Trivia Night in certain areas. Can you volunteer to help with:
- Sourcing donations for the Silent Auction - we already have the donation form ready to assist, we just need a bigger network reaching out to businesses.
- Assisting with creating themed decorations for the event space - 'Around the World' theme.
- Artwork/Graphic Design for our event flyer and poster.
- Dessert Bar planning & assistance.
Whichever area you are able to assist with and in whatever capacity, we would love to hear from you. Please email gecpa@gec.vic.edu.au by the end of June if not before, with your contact details and we will touch base. Thanks everyone!
Second Hand Uniform Stall
The next second hand uniform stall is on Monday 17th July 3pm - 4pm outside the GEC library. If you’re able to help out with this valued service, please SignUp for this next stall here https://signup.com/go/EJxpOFP
Donations of pre-loved uniforms, newly washed in resaleable condition, are gratefully accepted and can be dropped into the GEC reception office.
Building School Community
It takes a community of support and parent participation to build and strengthen our school community, to benefit our children’s school life at GEC.
You can contact GECPA anytime via gecpa@gec.vic.edu.au to help out in any capacity, ask questions or make suggestions. Whatever time and support you are able to offer is most appreciated.
