Principal's Report

Dear Families & Carers,

Last term, we had a focus on attendance. At Assembly, we celebrated our students who managed to have 100% attendance for Term 1. This term, we will be celebrating children that have managed to get 95% attendance or higher for the Semester. 95% attendance is what all students should be aiming for and means that there is opportunity to miss a little bit of time due to illness or appointments.

Here is a current number of students per class sitting in the 95% range...

Foundation: 3

Grade 1/2BH: 3

Grade 1/2NH: 3

Grade 3/4WY: 4

Grade 4/5G: 2

Grade 5/6G: 10

There are a number of students who are sitting 'just below' this percentage as they have been recently hit with an illness. With a couple of weeks of strong attendance, these statistics will change quickly!

On Sunday the 11th of June Our Lady's Parish & School came together to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation & First Eucharist. We had two beautiful candidates, Isaiah & Cadel, along with their families, come along to receive these Sacraments. The Sacrament of Confirmation is all about receiving the Holy Spirit. This was alive and well in our Parish community on Sunday. Mrs. Malcolm along with Christine have been busily preparing our candidates and families for this day. Thank you Mrs. Malcolm for organising a beautiful Mass and for staff who were able to attend this special event.

A huge thank you to all our supporters within the parish community and Monsignor Chris for being so accommodating and reassuring for us. A special mention to Christine who worked closely with our candidates in preparation for the Sacraments. It is so lovely to come along on Sunday and share this celebration within our parish.

A huge thank you to our choir members who were able to attend on Sunday; Neve, Maddie, Matilda D, Charlotte, Charlie, Sammy, Summer, Kara & Mrs Malcolm's children Lucy & Helena all sung proudly, supporting Cadel & Isaiah. Monsignor Chris was overjoyed to hear your amazing voices. We had so much praise from the parishioners also who reported the children have the voices of angels.

Blessings,

Cassie Lynch
