Netball Report

Our netball game against Strathmerton was really exciting! Both teams played quite well. We played at NPS on the court closest to the rebound wall and we won 18 to 4.

Our best shooters are definitely Leila and Marli, Jazzy and Ella were pretty good in the centre, throwing the ball accurately and the rest of the team were super good in the wings as well as defending.

Our team needs to improve on keeping their elbows in but are super good at different passes like lobs, overhead throws, and shoulder passes. We had 3 Year 5s playing with us. Those awesome students were; Hayley, Mia, and Carley.

Overall, the whole NPS Team played exceptionally well and have improved heaps. We were very happy; we had a challenge and are also happy that we won!

Footy Report

On Friday 14th May, the NPS footy team was fired up to get into some action against Strathmerton. We lost by 12 points but it was extremely tight in the last two quarters. We were down by 5 goals in the first quarter. Second-quarter was our quarter… we kicked 3 goals and one point we were hot on their tails as the ballgot tossed in the air into our forward line once again! Cooper chased it down, Khan-lee locked eyes with the opposition and shepherded Cooper spectacularly.

Max filled in for us while the cross country people were out and he took incredible overhead marks. Meanwhile, in the backline, Cooper's tackles were amazing and he had a good chase against a swift Strathy player.

Down in full back, Tyson stopped heaps of goals and turned them into points and forced one out-on-the full, while in the midfield Teddy ran around the entire field multiple times and didn’t get tired at all.

We all feel like we are growing as a team together and the entire team was awarded the best on the ground for the week. We just want to say thank you to all members of the footy team for coming out and playing and giving it your best.
