Round Up
Year 8 Divisional Basketball
We had great success with our Year 8 Divisional Basketball. Taking 4 sides away to compete, all sides did very well and played some very competitive matches. Northcote Gold Girls and Boys teams finishing at the top of the leader board. They progress to the Regional Competition to be played early next term. Best Players Ella McLaughlin, Nadine Robertson Danckert and for the boys, Ben Straube and Jon Zapantis. Thank you to Mr Hore and Ms Barclay and our wonderful Student Zach Giofidis, Maryellen Matsis and Nell Morris-Dalton.
Year 8 Table Tennis
On Sept 7 we had two boys teams compete in the Table Tennis at Darebin Community Sports Centre. Both sides played well with our Northcote Gold team finishing the day as overall winners. Thank you to Ms Littlewood for coaching.
Regional Athletics Carnival
On September 10 we took a team of 38 athletes to compete in the Regional Athletics at Meadowglen. All competitors gave 100 percent and we had many team members gaining personal bests and a place on the winners podium. Congratulations to Nadine Robinson –Danckert, Aphra Nolan, Nell Morris Dalton, Alexander Phokos and Marlon Bargh who all gained first place in their events. They will all be competing in the State Final on October 20.
Year 8 Badminton State Final
On September 11, our Year 8 Badminton Boys team travelled to MSAC to compete in the State Final. The team consisted of Ezra Blaikie, Ryan Dieu, Daniel Gregory, Oliver Lamb and Clarence McDonald. The boys all played well together and showed true sportsmanship throughout the tournament. They came 3rd in their pool. The boys were happy with their result, getting to this level is something that they should be very proud of. This is the second year that they have made it this far. Who knows, in the future these boys could be State Champions.
Year 7 Basketball
On September 11, Northcote had four Year 7 Basketball teams competing in the Divisional Competition at Coburg Basketball Stadium. In the Round Robin event our Teams were very competitive with Northcote Gold boys and girls teams winning overall. They will now compete in the Regionals on October 22. Thank you to Ms Tayton, Ms Swallow for coaching the teams.
Year 7 Table Tennis
Our year 7 Boys played in the Divisional Table Tennis competition on September 15. We had 2 sides competing on the day and both played some very tough matches. Our Northcote Gold team took out the top honours and became overall winners on the day. Good luck to the boys when they compete in the Regionals on October 22.

Sport Victoria Ambassador Visit
Daisy Pearce, high profile female AFL footballer visited the school to talk to Year 7 girls about her journey and maintaining her passion for being physically active. She is a role model for young girls in sport and we appreciate her visiting our girls.
Jamie Spangher & Bella Schulz played in the NHS winning Junior girls football team.
