Congratulations to the following students who celebrated their Sacrament of Confirmation last Thursday Evening. We were blessed to have Bishop Les Tomlinson celebrate this mass with us. Thank you to the families and sponsors who helped to prepare their children for this Sacrament.

May the Holy Spirit continue to shower Presley, Alexandria, Mila, Ben, Aidan, Gianni, Madeline, Bianca Salvo, Ava, Miles, Max, Patrick, Dante and Luke with many blessings as they continue their faith journey.

This weekend, the Church celebrates Pentecost, one of the most important feast days of the year that concludes the Easter season and celebrates the beginning of the Church.  Here’s what you need to know about the feast day: Pentecost always occurs 50 days after the death and resurrection of Jesus, and ten days after his ascension into heaven. Because Easter is a moveable feast without a fixed date, and Pentecost depends on the timing of Easter, Pentecost can fall anywhere between May 10 and June 13.

I would also like to acknowledge Father Gerry’s contribution to my role as Religious Education Leader at St Kevin’s School. Father Gerry has guided, encouraged and supported me in all aspects of Religious Education over the past few years. Thank you Father Gerry for being who you are;

Enjoy your well-deserved retirement.

St Kevin’s Feast Day Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 3rd at 9:15 am.

Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 10th June at 9:15am.

All welcome at both Masses.

Father Gerry has asked that I remind you of the parish website which has fabulous articles, children’s activities. Also each week in the Family Page and Fun Worksheetssection of the website there are links to that weekend's Gospel activities. There are two gospel links: one for the juniors and one for the seniors. These activities can be downloaded and printed or just viewed. These worksheets will help the children understand the gospel message for that particular reading.
