Wellbeing and Engagement

It has been another busy fortnight with lots of exciting things happening around the school. Congratulations to Mr Ryan Evans and his teammate Gabby for making it through to the finals of Lego Masters. Lego club has really taken off with many aspirational builders. What a great wealth of knowledge Mr Evans has bought to our lunch time Lego club and First Lego League.

Our student leaders have been busy as always. On Tuesday the school captains and student voice leaders attended a wonderful GRIP leadership conference. The students got so much out of it and are looking forward to sharing their new learnings with the school.  Our two RRRR leaders have been busy too, they have decided to implement a new special Wellbeing award. This will be presented each week at assembly and could go to anyone from F-6 who demonstrates resilience and respect. Thanks to all the students leaders who will be helping out at our open night this week!

RRRR/ eSmart Celebration – Monday May 31st

We can’t wait for our whole school celebration day this Monday. Students and teachers will be coming to school dressed as their favourite superheroes. There will be a special assembly in the morning which parents can access via WebEx (a link has been sent out this week) and for those who have students presenting, performing or receiving awards you are welcome to attend onsite. You are of course encouraged to dress up too! Please use the QR codes posted around the hall if you are attending onsite. During the day students will be working with their buddies on a variety of eSmart, RRRR & wellbeing activities. We will also have some special visitors from our partner schools to help us celebrate. We can’t wait!

Working Bee:

We hope you can join us for our next working bee, as usual we will have a BBQ at the end to thank you for your hard work.

Term 2 - Working Bee

The Rangeview Fathering Project:

Following on from our fantastic launch event, Simon, Sartaj and Chris have had several follow up meetings to set a direction and plan our first event.  If you could take the time (about 2 minutes) to complete this simple confidential survey, it will greatly help how The Fathering Project at RPS functions to deliver the best value and help those involved feel a greater sense of connection and well-being.

The next meeting will at Foragers Drop in Mitcham on the 27th May 6:30. This event is just for the dads and mentors. Use the link below to register. Other events with the kids will be coming.

And don’t forget it’s not too late to join the group via the QR below or alternatively we have them placed around the school.
