Foundation

Wow, what fun we’ve had in Foundation over the last 2 weeks.

PMP continues to challenge our students’ hand/eye coordination, balance and eye tracking skills. We had new activities at the stations this week including wobble boards, trampoline, running through the ladder and the tunnel. Students are spending approx. 5 minutes at each station and then moving to the next one. They are also enjoying working with a range of other children from Foundation.

The day had finally come for Peter Puppy Pyjama Day! And of course, we did lots of things that start with the letter P! We had a parade in our pyjamas and dance party to some groovy music, played with a range of different toys to practise our social skills, watched a movie starting with P and ate popcorn!

We have begun learning about being safe online and have learned about what we use the internet for. The students had ideas such as learning, homework, playing games, Reading Eggs, meetings making phone calls etc. Students wrote what they can do on the internet and drew some pictures.

Together with the cyber safety learning happening in the classroom, students were involved in an incursion run by the Cyber Safety Project. They listened carefully as they talked about strategies to use when using the internet. When using online platforms students need to ‘Think about how they feel’ in order to remain safe. If they feel unsafe at any point, they need to ‘STOP’, keep quiet, tell an adult, get out of the game and start a new game.

Have a wonderful week!

We are all very excited to be going to the farm next Wednesday!
