Jirrahlinga Koala & Wildlife Sanctuary

Jirrahlinga is a wildlife sanctuary in Barwon Heads that looks after and cares for native Australian animals.

If we find a sick animal like a possum we can call Jirrahlinga and they will take it and look after it. Our native animals need people to look after them because lots of people are moving to Ocean Grove and they are building houses where the animals live.

Jirrahlinga needs help because they don't have enough money to pay their bills. Covid stopped lots of people from visiting and that is how they get their money.

Last holidays we got to do Junior Rangers day there and they showed us so much.

If you would like to help Jirrahlinga you can go to their website and donate a little bit of money. Jirrahlinga helps our community so we should help them.

Did you know Jirrahlinga means seek a home for a kangaroo?
