Kate Greskie

Hi everyone, my name is Kate and I am super excited to be back teaching at Ocean Grove Primary this term! This year I am working with an awesome group of Year Two students on Tuesdays and Thursdays as part of the Tutor Initiative. I have been a member of the OGPS teaching team for 11 years now, and before that, I spent 3 years teaching in London. When I’m not teaching, I’m at home with my two kids Sadie and Leroy. Sadie is 3 years old, and Leroy turned 1 last week. As a family, we love going to the beach, the park or having dance parties in the loungeroom. Last year we bought a caravan and have been making some awesome family memories camping. We have been as far as Queensland in the past 12 months, but our favourite camping spot so far has been Mallacoota. I know many of the students at OGPS as I have taught them in previous years or have taught their siblings but if I haven’t me you yet, please come and say hi.

Sandra Beasley

Hi, my name is Sandra Beasley and I am the luckiest teacher in the world because I work at OGPS! I have been teaching here for 14 years, mainly in Foundation and Year 1. I love being a teacher because I get to help kids learn and I find myself laughing every day at the funny things kids do and say.

I live on a farm at Mannerim with my husband Michael and we grow crops and run sheep. I have two lovely sons, Paul is 29 and Sam is 27. I also have two gorgeous step daughters, Kyla is 24 and Sienna is 21. The apple of my eye is my grandson Leo, who has just started to walk.

In my spare time, I volunteer as a firefighter with the Mannerim CFA Brigade and I am the first female lieutenant in my brigade’s history. I am very passionate about helping my community and spend a lot of time helping to put out fires and teaching my community how to be fire safe.

I am crazy about my dog Barney, who is a blue merle Pomeranian. He goes everywhere with me and we spend a lot of time walking around the farm together. Unfortunately the bull next door doesn’t like us and has chased us a couple of times along the fence line. Can you imagine me screaming as I try to run as fast as I can away from this huge bucking beast? Thankfully the bull can’t run very fast either!
