The Preps have enjoyed listening to a book from the Story Orchestra collection about the seasons during the past two weeks.  The book has samples of music from the composer Antonio Vivaldi's classical work The Four Seasons.  They enjoyed discussing which seasons music they enjoyed and why - we also danced with the scarves to the music.

The Grade 5/6 students have been composing and creating in Music during the past few weeks and here is a sample of just one of the songs they have written about their experience of camp. 

CAMP RUMBUG

Rumbug, Rumbug, Camp Rumbug. 

People sleeping on soft mattress bed,

Forgetting their pillow and their head.

Mud Run, Mud Run, stinky and fun, 

Climbing mud hills, running a ton.

Rumbug, Rumbug, Camp Rumbug.

Giant Swing, Giant Swing, tall in the sky, 

dropping to the floor 

And being swung up high!
