REC News

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, schools across our diocese have celebrated Catholic Schools Week. This year's Catholic Schools Week theme is ‘Our Hope-filled Future’.

It is an important annual celebration for our school as we focus on all of the things that make our school great.

We would like to thank all of the families who came to celebrate our open classrooms, liturgy, assembly and morning tea on Wednesday. It was lovely to see so many families back in our school. The performances of the students were outstanding!

On Thursday, our school attended the Solemnity of the Ascension. The Ascension marks 40 days since the Resurrection of Jesus. It commemorates when Jesus ascended into heaven, telling his disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit to come. Jesus promised to always be with them after he left. 10 days after the Ascension we celebrate Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples.

Yours in faith,
