Learning and Teaching

Conversations Matter!

This week, spend time with your child discussing their WALTs (We Are Learning To) and Success Criterias from their Math and Literacy lessons- is your child able to tell you what they are learning about? From this initial prompt, you can then share their learning with them and practice concepts together. If they are learning about Subtraction, you can talk with them about the strategies they have been practising… if they are learning about letter clusters and the sounds they make, can you find these in books that you are reading together? Learning is more meaningful when it is shared with real life experiences and with people we care about and can connect with.

NAPLAN

Congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students who have almost completed the 2022 National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy. The students have shown resilience, stamina and a growth mindset whilst completing the assessment, which has been mostly online for the first time. Thank you to the teachers for your work and commitment.

Alternative Play

Alternative-play aims to create inclusive and supported educational environments for students at lunchtime. Extra resources, play equipment and supervision are provided to help our learners establish new relationships and build on their interests and passions. Please talk to your child and encourage them to participate in the alternative play opinions, offered every lunchtime.
