Dining Hall News

COVID really made its presence known when Chef Nick Harvey and other kitchen staff tested positive and things got a little complicated in the dining hall. The boarders were fairly happy that it meant they could have pizza on Friday night next to the fire pit.  Thank you to Mrs Sally Mellows, Ms Sue Wolfe and Mr Rudi Glauser for their incredible commitment to our boarders while Chef Nick was away. It was also encouraging to have a number of Year Twelve boarders offer to help prepare food in the kitchen as they heard they were needing assistance. 

 

This happened to be the same week that one of our suppliers shut down for a few days and didn’t deliver due to COVID and Mrs Ball and Mrs Franzinelli were also away with COVID. Vanessa managed to fit in some quick trips to the supermarket to buy fruit and special dietary requirements. What a week!
