Endeavour House News

Well, we are the fastest house in terms of COVID, we have nearly all had it!  It wasn’t fun, but we managed it and we are mostly still smiling. I cannot thank you enough for your support and I dream of a time when we will be able to stop talking about COVID and start talking about something more positive for a while.

Thank you to all the staff who covered shifts when I was away with COVID, Sienna was initially here to hold down the fort, but after two days, she tested positive and Lauren moved in. She did an amazing job with many people supporting her. Thank you to Lauren.

Reconciliation Week

This week we have been discussing National Reconciliation Week and what we can do as a house. We decided we would say an Acknowledgement of Country every Monday morning along with our prayer we say to start the week. On Monday I completed the Acknowledgement of Country, which I hope we get to a point in the future where boarders will feel more comfortable to do so as they do with our prayer. Joy and Eliza suggested we make damper this week, Ms Holder did this with the girls and they cooked it at the fire pit outside of Eclipse. Mackirra Williams and Azriel Bin Omar thought it might be nice to find some colouring that reflected National Reconciliation Week and on nights that were quiet for prep, we completed some mindful relevant colouring in.

Birthdays

Happy birthday to Madison Beeck who celebrated a boarding birthday last week and to Azriel Bin Omar who was so far from her Derby home for her birthday and still managed to give us that big, lovely smile.
