No Hat No Play
Parents, please ensure your child has a hat packed in their bag everyday. The school DOES NOT have any spare hats available anymore as students have borrowed them and not returned them. Children without hats must play undercover so to avoid disappointment please ensure they have a hat.
Phasing out cash payments
For various operational reasons, including the closure of local Bank branches, we have decided to phase out the acceptance of cash for school fees and excursions throughout the remainder of this year. We request that, where possible, all families make payments by direct deposit to the school bank account or through EFTPOS in the front office.
Reminder: If you are making direct deposits to the school account, can you please ensure that you provide a reference that includes the CHILD'S NAME AND YEAR GROUP to allow for timely processing.

Mauritian Ombudsperson for Children
In late November we were very fortunate to have a visit from the Mauritius Ombudsperson for Children, Mrs Rita Venkatasawmy. This was a wonderful opportunity to share the successes of our Specialist Learning Program since its inception at MPS. Rita was excited by what she saw and heard, and told us about the stark differences between our system and the way autistic children are managed in Mauritius. In her words, she wished she could pick up our school and drop it into her country - pretty strong praise for the work, with her comments being directed to both the SLP and the mainstream staff, based on the successful integration of students across the school and their sense of belonging within the broader school community.
