CAROLS

Our very first St Brigid’s Christmas Carols is finally here. The children have been singing up a storm in Performing Arts with Mrs Hampton and they are now ready to sing for our parents and friends.

Just a reminder that our children can wear Christmas colours or Christmas themed clothes tomorrow to school.

We are having a Mini Christmas Market prior to the carols so if you need some christmas gifts please come along and check out the market. Our stall holders are parents or ex parents/students from St Brigid’s. They will be set up around the running track near the school from 3.15-4.45pm.

We are selling sausages and choc tops so if you need a snack please come and see us at the canteen - Cash sales only - Sausages $3.00 Choc Tops $5.00

Our carols start at 5.00pm and will finish at 6.00pm.

We are looking forward to seeing as many families there.

END OF YEAR

We are so close to the end of the year, where we say farewell to our Graduating Class of 2022 and staff who are moving on to different adventures.

Our End of Year Thanksgiving Mass is on Wednesday 14th December at 10am at St Brigid’s Church. The weather forecast  for Wednesday is not looking good so we as always have a plan B.  Plan A is we walk to St Brigid’s Church at 10am.  Plan B is Fr Ignatius will come to school and say Mass in Brigid Hall. The time Fr Ignatius can attend school on Wednesday will be confirmed at a later date.  If we resort to Plan B we will notify families via Skoolbag.

Our End of Year Assembly is on Thursday 15th December at 2.00pm. This assembly will include a farewell to staff, graduating students, other families leaving and Year 6 2023 jumper presentation.

Our Year 6 Fun Day Out is on Friday 16th December. The children will be going to FunTopia and then coming back to school after lunch where we will farewell our Year 6’s outside with all the students waving them goodbye.  This farewell will occur at 2:45pm.  All welcome

 ST VINCENT DE PAUL APPEAL

On Thursday night we had one bag of groceries - by the end of Friday we had this!!

Once again our friends from St Vinnie's were blown away by the  St Brigid's Community's Christmas spirit and generosity.  We sincerely thank you!

CATHOLIC MISSION

Thank you to all the families who have already sent in their $5.00 towards Goats for Ethiopia.

So far we have raised enough money for one Goat and a horn of the second goat!  Each goat costs $117  and will provide nutritious milk for infants.

Instead of Kris Kringle this year we are asking families support this initiative bydonating$5.00 per family.  If each family donates $5.00 we will raise enough money to buy  5 goats.  We ask that all families send in their $5.00 by next Tuesday 13 December.

And to finish with something to make you smile - we had a number of  very excited children visit the office this week express their joy that St Brigid's were getting Goats!  They asked were the goats going to live in the garden outside of Mrs Sullivan's office!

Transitions sessions

Today we had our second Year 1 - 6 transition sessions.  Please remember today's session may not be the class your child will be in and it may not be the teacher they will have.  The final transition session on Thursday 15th December will be when they meet their teacher and new classmates for 2023.

Yours in partnership
