Centenary reflection
We have nearly come to the end of what has been a fabulous year of celebration and reflection as Kilvington turns 100.
Last night’s Celebration Night highlighted the amazing contributions from our School community, both past and present. The interviews with members of our alumni, who shared stories starting way back in the 1940s, showed the effect that Kilvington has had on their lives.
While the School has evolved greatly over the past century, many of the themes that emerged from our alumni members' stories continue to be embedded in our culture even today, which is truly remarkable.
It's with great excitement that we now turn our attention to the next 100 years – what will the School be reflecting on and celebrating in 2123?
The opening of our new STEAM building, The HIVE, this term was a significant moment for staff and students. The HIVE has already hosted the inaugural Faculty Development Expo, where some of our teachers showcased how they are creating an inspired learning culture, a priority in our Strategic Plan. We look forward to developing this further in the years to come.
Updates to KCEE
Over the past year, we have been reviewing the School’s learning management system, KCEE (Kilvington Community Engaging in Education).
During the COVID years, it was imperative that this system supported students while they were working remotely. Now, with students back in the classroom, other requirements need to be addressed.
Next year, we will make changes to KCEE and introduce new features to help students and parents find information more easily. Stay tuned for information about these important changes coming shortly.
