Ecological Conversion

The new school year has seen the need to re-establish the school garden after the holidays.  The new Earth Care Squad will be elected soon and we will start working on keeping the grounds of our school looking great.

The chooks are still laying but they have slowed down a little bit.  This is because they are moulting.  This means they are replacing their feathers bit by bit which takes a lot of energy from the chooks so they dont have the energy they used to have for egg laying. They will be back on trach soon after they finish moulting.

The fruit trees on Whittington Street look like they will have a good crop this year.  The lemon tree looks especially fruitful.  Whatch this space for the great lemon giveaway.

The Year 2 classes are looking to sow some seeds to help attract butteflies.  They will start this term so look out for some new colour in the yard.
