From the Classroom - Year 6

This past term the Year 6 students have been researching a person who inspires them based on their persistence, achievements and overcoming challenges.

 

Part of this research will be the Museum of Significance event to celebrate. In this classroom museum, students have included creative displays, spectacular written pieces and will also include passionate Year 6 students talking about their exhibit. Some of the students have chosen a Young Australian of the Year, Musicians, scientists, politicians and writers from Australia and around the World.

Right: Allegra from 6C completed a contemporary portrait of the Mona Lisa to commemorate the inventor and artist that was Leonardo Da vinci.

Left: Sedora from 6C created a symbolic visual display based on Rosa Parks and her plight against segregation and discrimination.

Above: Kupo from 6B wrote short narravtive from the perspective of John Lennon and his hope for peace in the world.

Left: Olivia from 6B wrote a poem based on Caitlin Figuerido who is an interesting and determined young person who is fighting for gender equality. 

Right: Violet from 6B created a clay sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi as he fought for human rights and against discrimination.
