Overdue items

Letters were sent home yesterday detailing overdue books. Please make every attempt to return these to the library before the end of term (Friday, March 27). We want students to borrow books over the holidays but in order for this to happen overdue titles need to be returned.

Some students have borrowed books and then put them back on the library shelf. That makes finding them and removing them from their record a little tricky. So please encourage them to put them back in the clearly marked book returns tub or hand them to me. The budget doesn’t run to a library sniffer dog although it’s a nice idea.

Increased loans

As an extra incentive to return overdue titles for next week only (w/c Monday, March 23) the number of loans will increase by two books to cover the holiday period. Many holiday options are limited due to Cyrus the Virus including access to public libraries so please encourage your kids to come in at lunch time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to borrow as much as they can.

The new loans are as follows:

Grade Prep, One                              4 books

Grade Two, Three                            6 books

Grade Four, Five, Six                       8 books

Normal loan limits will resume in Term 2.

Book Club

Book Club orders have arrived and been distributed. Your orders raised $280 for new library items some of which has gone towards the following new titles available to borrow from next week:
