Wellbeing and Engagement

Harmony Day

Harmony day is a celebration of cultural diversity and is held on the 21st of March every year. The message for harmony day is ‘everybody belongs’ and aims to promote respect for cultural and religious diversity throughout Australia.

Orange is the representative colour of harmony day and signifies support for cultural diversity on the day.

In these times of uncertainty, it is even more important than ever to acknowledge that éverybody belongs´ and to actively do something by reaching out to those who may feel isolated or be alone.

Reconciliation Action Plan

We continue to work towards the development of our school reconciliation action plan. During term 2, we will be further explaining how we will do this, beginning with presentations to the school council and parents and friends group. After this has occurred a presentation will be made to the whole school community.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested in assisting our working party in any way.

Information on what a reconciliation action plan is, and examples of what other school have done can be found at the following website: https://www.reconciliation.org.au/
