Principal's Report

Shepparton Education Plan:
The Shepparton Education Plan is keeping me very busy as we move towards ensuring that we are ready for day 1, 2020. We are currently looking at staffing for each of the campuses. This will take some time as staffing depends largely on student choice. We hope to have this in place as soon as possible. The next level of leadership is also a high priority.
A high priority for students is subject choice and the Senior School team have been meeting with each of our students to help them with their pathways choice be it work, apprenticeship, traineeship, TAFE or University. Information evenings have been held at MSC, WPSC and McGuire College to help keep students and parents informed. As more information becomes available we will make sure that you have many avenues to access the information.
Production
I am very much looking forward to seeing the Greater Shepparton College (interim name) production of ’13 - The Musical’.
The very enthusiastic Year 7's from across McGuire, Mooroopna, Shepparton and Wanganui Campuses have teamed with experienced VCE Theatre Studies students, to interpret Jason Robert Brown’s touching and hilarious rock musical, ‘13’
Two shows only: Thursday October 31st 7:30 pm or Friday 1st November, 7:30pm at Westside Performing Arts Centre.
La Trobe University Principal’s Lunch
I attended a lunch for Careers Teachers and Principals from the region, where Professor Richard Speed (Pro Vice Chancellor – Regional) told us about the range of new programs La Trobe University will be offering in Shepparton next year. The pathways for our future students will certainly increase and enable more students to study locally.
