On Tuesday 28 August, Senior Concert Band travelled to Melbourne to perform at the Victorian School Music Festival. This amazing group of music students did themselves proud and brilliantly represented Cobram Secondary College. After an impressive shopping expedition to Chadstone Shopping Centre, the band travelled to Hawthorn Arts Centre. They performed three pieces for adjudication and received the Bronze Award for their efforts. Well done to all students, staff and parents for their fine work on this excursion. On Friday 31 August, Cobram Secondary College Rock Band, Doona (they are a cover band), performed at the Moira Shire Battle of the Bands. They also represented the college in fine musical style, presenting an entertaining program of contrasting works. It was great to see this band perform in public for the first time. Well done to the band members and to Nathan Coldwell for his excellent work in teaching this band.
