Year 5/6 Volleyball Boys

Having been crowned Champions of the Summer Interschool Sport Volleyball Competition in Term 1, the boys were ready to put their skills to the test against the top 8 sides in the Kingston Division.On the day, the boys participated in a round robin against three other schools, Malvern P.S, Tucker Road Primary and OLA Cheltenham.

Here is a summary of how the day went from Ari and Matty.

Thanks to Luke Wallace and his winning serve against Beaumaris North Primary, we were off to the next stage full of confidence and skill.

Unfortunately we didn't perform to our best in the first game. In a three set thriller, they managed to pip us by 2 points.

In the next game, we were totally out played from start to finish. Personally, we don't want to talk about it... the next game however was great!

Another three set game that came down to the last 5 points! BRPS were down by 3 points (12-14) then Niki came on and gave us a boost of confidence serving 4/4. It all came down to the last serve... Did Niki have it in him to be the hero?

YES! Of course he did. The other team put up a really good effort but we managed to get them in the end. 

Despite the fact we lost more games than we won, this was a great opportunity for us to compete in such a high level of volleyball.
