Year 4 Cricket Blast Competition

The Year 4 students participated in the Cricket Blast Competition last Friday against the schools in the Dendy District. Four teams were competing in the All-Stars, Future-Stars and Rookies competitions. The students have worked hard in their Physical Education lessons to learn and practice the correct bowling and batting techniques as well as learn the rules of Cricket. We were very proud of the sportsmanship the students displayed through their encouragement of each other as well as shaking hands with the opposing teams at the end of their matches.

The greatest performance of the day was the All-Star Girls winning all their preliminary matches to make it through to the grand final and finishing as runners up for the day against St Joan of Arc. On Friday, November 8th our Year 5&6 students will be participating in their Cricket Blast Competition and we wish them luck!
