Year 9 Wellbeing Days
Thursday 9 & Friday 10 June
Our Year 9 students will be participating in a 2-day event which will include a global excursion on one day and a local incursion on the second day. Students will choose from one of these global experiences:
- Humans in Need: Intersection City Experience with a focus on empathy & diversity
- Environment in Need: Ceres Environment Park with a focus on exploring the impact of human interactions on our ecosystem
- Animals in Need: Moonlit Sanctuary with a focus on Australian mammals and birds.
Students (on their second day) will also participate in the following educational and team building activities:
- Creating a Healthy Headspace: Headspace Victoria will present on managing stress and anxiety
- Making Healthy Snacks: Viv Sullivan, a Paediatric Dietician, will present on Health Snacks and students will get an opportunity to create some healthy snacks in the Food Tech rooms
- Bubble Soccer & Amazing Race: Fun team building exercises to create a sense of belonging and cohesiveness between the GOAL Groups.
