BAYSPEAK Public Speaking Competition

Well done to Oskar E, Katie G, Lucy K and Lily G who represented the college beautifully at the BAYSPEAK public speaking competition on 23 May. Their confidence and ability to engage the audience on the following topics was remarkable:

• Oskar - Diversity in the Australian Government
• Katie - Animal Testing
• Lily - Inequality in school funding
• Lucy - Why what other people think shouldn't matter

Interschool Debating

Congratulations to our debating team (Ruby M, Lilly R, Lily G & Scarlett R) on their convincing victory last week on the topic "That the government should supply every home with free wifi". Special mention to Lily G who took out best speaker!

Engaging in respectful debates allows our students to broaden their horizons, learn from others, refine their own viewpoints and increase their confidence in sharing their ideas in a public forum.
