The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is open to all students!

It is not a competition; but a personal challenge to read 15 books by the 8th September.

 

All students who complete the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and get to join in the Pizza Party with the other students who have completed the challenge at Copperfield College!

 

You need to:

  1. Register as a challenger by clicking the link on the Library’s News page (go to https://copperfieldcollege.softlinkhosting.com.au/oliver/home/news and login using your Compass details)
  2. Read:
  • Year 7-9: Number of books: 15

Number of books from the Challenge book list: 10 or more

  • Year 10: Number of books: 15

Number of books from the Challenge book list: 5 or more

 

  1. Enter the book titles into the PRC website – you can choose to rate and review books too.
  2. Make sure all your books are marked as ‘finished’ in the website by the 8th September.

 

What you can read:

Most of the books you read should be from the Challenge book lists (https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/home). The rest can be any book you choose.

If you can, choose books that the PRC says are for your year level, but you can read a book from any year level or books that aren’t on the challenge list if your teacher agrees. You still need to read the right number of books to meet the Challenge.

You can also count books you’ve read to a younger child, read in class, studied for school, listened to, and the one’s you’ve read for the MS Readathon.

The books can be physical books, eBooks, audiobooks and in any language (with teacher approval).

To join at the Sydenham campus scan the QR code or go to https://copperfieldcollege.softlinkhosting.com.au/oliver/home/news then log in with your school Compass details. Find the PRC box (orange) and click Join the Challenge Today to register or grab a sign-up sheet from the Sydenham campus library.
