News from 5T

We have had a very busy start to the term in 5T filled with sports, learning and Mother’s day celebrations. We kicked off the term with cross country at Dendy Park which saw lots of members of 5T making it all the way to districts with their amazing running abilities. Congratulations to all involved!

A week later, Winter sports commenced with netball and football. Teams played against Sacred Heart and St Joan Of Arc with excellent sportsmanship all round. We’re looking forward to continuing Winter Sports this term, keeping us active during the colder months!

The Mothers day stall and Mothers day breakfast was enjoyed by all, Mums feeling spoilt and tummies full with a delicious breakfast spread.

Back in the classroom we have been working on recounts in Writing`, both imaginative and personal. To improve our writing, we have been reading our recounts to each other and editing with feedback from our partners, engaging in peer to peer learning.

Positive self talk has been our topic for SEL. We enjoyed creating bright posters to display in our room with words of affirmation to encourage us to be the best learners and people we can be.

So far, we’ve had a busy and positive start to the term, we’re looking forward to continuing with our sports and learning for the remainder of the term in 5T.
