Numeracy Gardening June 2019

For Numeracy, the VCAL students plan and implement several projects throughout the year. They have been able to explore Mathematics beyond its everyday use to its application outside their immediate personal environment, such as at the College and at the workplace. The Mathematics involved includes:

• Numerical Skills and Processes
• Financial Literacy
• Planning and Organising
• Measurement, Representation and Design 

Over the last few weeks, the students have been planting small and larger tube stock plants along the fence line in one of their school based projects.
