Principals Report

The 2019 school year is drawing to a close and I would like to pay attention to a few end of year processes and achievements.

Dux 2019

Congratulations to Zahra Alkarawi on becoming our 2019 Year 12 Dux. Zahra is a shining example of a student who knows what she wants and works very hard to achieve her goals. We wish Zahra well for the future.

School Council

Thank you to the McGuire College School Councillors for all your commitment and effort throughout your time on the Council. I would like to acknowledge Trevor Wilson for his 18 years commitment to the smooth running of our School Council. Thank you to Richard Bryce our School Council President until November 2019, Rodney Arthur (Vice President), Neville Archibald, Jacquie Bilney, Amy Hawking, Dylan Hardy, Georgie Schofield, Anna Sloane, Stacie Lundberg & Sharon Wagstaff.

Thank you to all the students and staff of McGuire College your efforts and commitment throughout the year it has been very much appreciated.

Orientation Day

We welcomed 17 classes of Year 7 (2020) on Tuesday, 10th December. The day was great and I hope all students feel less anxious about commencing with us in 2020.

Year 8 students (Year 9 2020) attended the Mooroopna campus for the day. The feedback about this day has also been very positive.

Tuesday - Movies & Ten Pin Bowling

Wednesday - DFO & Funfields

Thursday - Euroa Pool day. (This may change due to expected weather conditions)

Presentation Night

We will be celebrating our student achievements for 2019 at Presentation Night on Tuesday 17th December, 7.00 pm at Eastbank Shepparton. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday morning, a bus to take students to Eastbank will leave the College at 9.30 am returning at 12.30pm.

This is our last newsletter as McGuire College. As of 2020 we are Greater Shepparton Secondary College - McGuire Campus.

School resumes on Thursday 30th January for Year 7 and 12 students
Friday 31st January for all other students

We will be sending out further information about the 2020 school starting arrangements in January.
