WELCOME BACK
JOHN ASHE VEGETABLE GARDEN
'Food Education'
With the unpredictable weather these holidays we have had some successes and some unfortunate mishaps in the garden. Our tomatoes are growing wild! and the strawberries are generous and super sweet!
A very big THANK YOU to Melissa and the holiday care children, and the Davies, Donga and Neale families for looking after our precious chickens and crops.
Food Education is extremely important for our health. “Teaching children to grow, harvest, prepare and share their own fruit and vegetables is proven to have a positive impact on the food choices students make. This learning extends beyond the classroom – research shows that engaged, excited students are likely to share their new skills with their family.”

BUNNINGS BBQ
After the success of last years BBQ who could say no when we were offered a Term 1 BBQ! This years BBQ will be held on the Sunday 18th March. The money raised will go to support the growth of our amazing John Ashe playground.
Please keep an eye out for more information closer to the date.
NUDE FOOD
Nude Food is a fantastic way to do our little bit for the environment and educate our children the impact that their actions have on the environment and their health. It’s the little things that make a big difference, and by cutting out disposable rubbish in our lunchboxes, we can reduce our waste considerably. We encourage everyone at St. FInbars to help out and reduce the amount of waste produced at our school.
REUSABLE LUNCH ORDER BAGS
Last year we pledged to make a difference and reduce rubbish in our school. Don’t forget to bring back your reusable lunch order bags this year, but remember to change your class!
If you have misplaced, lost or simply just need one, bags are available from the uniform shop for $12.
