Year 8

8D students were keen to roll up their sleeves and get cooking. It was great to see such a high participation rate. Cooking is not only about practicing food skills but also challenges a student’s time management and organisation. A big thank you to the parents for supporting them in their cooking endeavours. A sample of their works is shown below.

Year 9

It was great to see so many families support our food technology students by allowing them to cook at home.

Please see a sample of the wonderful foods they cooked. Hopefully the families enjoyed sampling the products and hopefully the students cleaned up!!

Year 10

During remote learning the year 10 Food students were set the challenge to produce products demonstrating the functional properties of ingredients. They had a choice of finding their own ingredients or producing the recipe set by the teacher. I was great that so many students stepped up to the task and cooked for their families. Well done year 10!!

Charlotte Gray

Our Year 9 food classes have been very productive on the home front producing some fabulous results. A recent learning intention was to produce bread, from a culture other than your own. Charlotte Gray (9B) chose German pretzels, with exquisite results.
