Principal Post

Dear Families

With the Premier's announcements regarding Stage 4,  it is clear that a key message across this next six weeks, is to reduce numbers and movement across the state. This is going to be a great challenge for all members of the community and I thank you all for the sacrifices that you are making, and the support that you are giving to help slow the virus.

Stage 4 Restrictions see a reduced number of students onsite. Working remotely  for another six weeks at least  will no doubt be challenging for families and from time to time stressful.   We are well aware  that as parents try and support their children, they are also trying to juggle their own work commitments or coming to terms with changed circumstances. This may give rise to new anxieties. As I said in last week's newsletter  Remote Learning however is not meant to be a constant battle field.  We need to be kind to ourselves and know that we are doing our best for our children.  Ensure that you are able to see the positives and continue to look for opportunities to strengthen the family relationships. Have your children continue to communicate with their teacher particularly if they are unsure about a concept/ their learning.

Please continue to do the right thing and follow all the government restrictions. We need to be looking after our families, and indeed the wider community.

Continue to keep in your prayers all those who have experienced loss, who are sick and suffering, who are anxious, lonely and  worried.

For students onsite please come to the back gate at 8:45am. Parents do not get out of the car.

Collect your child from the back gate at 3pm.

If your child is unwell in anyway please keep your child at home. You should be getting tested if you have any flu like symptoms.
Please contact the school immediately if any family member /close contact returns a positive test for COVID.

Parents picking up work books/ devices or requiring access to school

Where possible, parents should remain offsite. Please follow restriction guidelines. If you require to come to the school  to collect work, equipment or to drop off forms /documents you are asked to first  phone the school office. If coming to school you must wear a mask.

Ring the doorbell at the front door and wait for a staff member to assist you.

Devices, Workbooks, Letters will be left in the office alcove. They will be clearly marked.

We ask that parents/ carers do not come into the buildings.

Financial Commitments- School Fees and Charges

Once again I remind families that should you be experiencing  any Financial hardship in relation to the payment of school fees/ levies,  it is crucial that you let us know your circumstance,  so we can discuss  and plan a manageable way forward. These discussions/ meetings are confidential. As always the school  wishes to be  supportive of genuine financial hardship.

Communicating with us is an essential part of this process.
