Student Leaders

2017 College Captains

Having been given the opportunity to serve as leaders this year has not only been a blessing, but a gift that just keeps giving. At the beginning of the year we were hesitant to walk up on stage to regularly share our faith at assemblies. Now, when it comes time for assembly, we are both eager to stand up and share a little bit of ourselves with the school. Aspiring to make an impact on the Endeavour community has taught us how to be confident in who we are and what we believe in and we cannot give enough thanks for this.

Our main goal for the year was to build a greater sense of community and gratitude. We achieved this mainly through involving our fellow peers in decision making and encouraging them to be more involved. As the only two College Captains, we appreciated their enthusiasm and support during times of pressure in the year. We have seen a greater contribution from our fellow leaders as they have stepped up immensely and helped create a diverse place in which to learn.

One of our favourite events of the year was hosting the greatly anticipated Endeavour’s Got Talent where we hyped the audience and made way for the brilliant talent. We felt a sense of joy seeing Endeavour come together to celebrate individuality.

It was an honour to represent the school and its core values. Both of us are privileged to have benefitted from this experience. It has shaped us into confident young people preparing us for the future. We hope that we have made a positive impact on the school and our peers and encourage younger year levels to take the leap of courage to make their voice heard at Endeavour. We believe that Endeavour thrives on its community and contributions from everyone. We encourage next year’s leaders to approach this opportunity with enthusiasm and optimism.

Thank you.
