The Parent/Teacher interviews will be held on Thursday March 30th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and Friday March 31st from 9:00am until 12:00 noon.
This year we are again using the online booking system.
Interviews will be scheduled for a maximum of 5 minutes and parents are able to make a booking through the XUNO parent portal. Bookings will open on March 20th at 9:00 am.
An item called Parent/Teacher Interviews will be available for you to select in XUNO. You can book appointments with individual teachers or use the auto-book feature to book all your interviews with just one click. The map (see link in School News page) shows the location of staff members for the Parent/Teacher interviews. To save time and to keep to schedule, we suggest that you try and book all the teachers in the same location before moving on to teachers in different rooms.
The Wanganui Parent Portal can be accessed at http://xuno.wanganuipsc.vic.edu.au. If you have misplaced or not received your username and password please contact the Main Office either by phone on 58209900 or by email at wanganui.park.sc@edumail.vic.gov.au
Next Wednesday, 15th March, parents will be able to access their child’s Cycle 1 SPA reports. Along with this report, another progress report will be written by all teachers for all their students. This report will be in the form of a comment written for parents of just two to three sentences outlining your child’s progress in the first 6 weeks of term. Another progress report will be written at the same time as our second SPA report in Week 14 of the semester, about three weeks into Term 2.
On Thursday, 23rd March, all VMG students will be given information on how to select their units for Semester 2. An access guide will be distributed with a full explanation of how to go about this important task. We ask parents to get involved with their child when making these selections. There will be plenty of counselling done in classes and support and advice can be obtained from individual classroom teachers at our Parent/Teacher interviews at the end of the term. Selections will be due in on the first Friday in Term 2.
At the completion of nominations for vacant School Council positions, the following people were successful in their nominations: Jaye Sowter, Paul Walker, Dean Walton and Jason Kelly, with the following parent representatives continuing for their second year: Bernie Macgill, Greg Bennett, Tracey Toy.
Staff Representatives: Sarah Pollard, Peter Cantlin and Xavier Tanner were successful in their nomination, with Gerry Vecchio and Ken Murray continuing for another 12 months.
As the number of nominations equalled the number of vacancies, no election was required.
The first day of Term 2 is Tuesday, 18th April.
