Introducing Jonathon Webb

Position at Grange:  Year 2/3 STEM Teacher &  F - 7 Performing Arts Teacher

Where were you teaching before you came to Grange:  Technically, nowhere! This is my first year of teaching with my degree. While attending University, though, I taught during practicum placements at Lockleys, Largs, North Haven, and finally Grange Primary.

Favourite Foods:  Lasagna and Pasta (Really anything with basil in it)

Favourite Movie:  Mrs Doubtfire (Robin Williams is an acting genius)

Things I like to do in my spare time: Go for walks with the dogs, see friends and family, sing, and catch up on TV shows

Inspiring quote for students:  It's not about being the best, it's about doing your best - And if your best is also the best, then that's just an added bonus.

Any job worth doing is worth doing well.

(I know I was only supposed to write one, but I couldn't help myself)

School Improvements

Charles Sturt Council intend to install a fence along Surrey Street to stop children being dropped near the current Emu crossing.  This will mean that the drop and go zone will be further south down Surrey Street with the new student entrance being established at the big gates with a new garden and frontage of the school.  If this does not occur during the break it will not be too long afterwards.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data

All schools are required to collect information about the numbers of students that they provide adjustments to under the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) and Disability Standards of Education (2005). From 2018, this data will be used as the basis for national funding.

The NCCD involves the collection of:

*      the number of students receiving adjustments to enable them to participate in education on the same basis as other students

*     the level of adjustment provided to students

*     Student's type of disability if known

Under the model the definition of disability is broad and included leaning difficulties, health and mental health conditions.

If your child is identified for inclusion in the Collection, the required information will be inluded in this year's data collection.

If you have any questions about the data collection, please contact Carmen Fiedler at the school on 8353 2688.
