Soccer

We would like to congratulate the Grange Senior Soccer team on their fantastic Knockout Cup grand final win on Friday 6th July Under lights at the Port Pirate Soccer Club. The whole team gave an extraordinary effort against a determined Seaton Park Primary School team. The score was 4 - 3.

We would also like to acknowledge the Under 12 Soccer team who also made it to the grand final in their division. They all played their best but unfortunately lost the game 2 - 0.

Well done everyone. Your efforts are to be commended.

Tennis

Starting 22nd August, we will be offering Tennis coaching after school from 3:15 - 4:00pm running each Wednesday for 5 weeks. The sessions will be run by David Grainger from the Grange Lawn Tennis Club and held at their courts across the road from the school. Participating students will meet in Witungga Hall immediately after school and walk across together. Parents are welcome. Students will be dismissed from Witungga Hall after walking back at the conclusion of the session.

Priority will be given to Year 3-5's and it will be capped at 30.

The sessions are funded by the Sporting Schools grant so we can offer them at no cost.

If your child is interested, please email Nick Warren at Nick.Warren281@schools.sa.edu.au and consent forms will be forwarded to you.

Football

Our 6/7 Boys Football team, as reported in previous newsletters, have been competing in the SAPSASA Knockout competition. We are pleased to report that Grange got down to the last 4 in Pool A of a 56 team competition. Unfortunately, in their last game played on Friday, they were narrowly defeated by Fulham North Primary School by 2 points.

Well done boys! Your efforts have done Grange Primary School Proud.
